Tulip City Paddle Tours was created in 2022 by Beth and Dave Felicelli when they brought SUP tours to Holland, giving locals and visitors an active and fun way to enjoy Holland.

Tulip City Paddle Tours came into fruition from Beth and Dave’s passion for the water and to entertain others. Dave was the behind-the-scenes guy, taking the helm at the accounting, website, and other logistics. Beth is the lead tour guide and instructor. Together, they built TCPT into the fun, friendly company it is today.

Dave passed away in 2023 and we continue to honor and remember Dave as we watch our business grow!

Beth Felicelli, Owner and Tour Guide

Beth is the owner and primary tour guide of Tulip City Paddle Tours.

Beth has been SUPing for about seven years, falling in love with the sport the first time she tried it. She has been a recreational and touring SUPer for the past few years, planning many events and trips throughout Michigan and across the States. Beth started Tulip City Paddle Tours to share her passion of both the fun of SUPing and the beauty of Holland.

Beth is certified in CPR/AED/First Aid. She is trained in SUP Rescue and is a certified Level One SUP Instructor. She is also a MI Paddle Steward, helping to protect and keep clean Michigan’s waterways.

Your safety is our priority

Our tours begin with a short safety briefing and instructional lesson, specifically for any beginners. All equipment is included. Leashes are an integral part of SUP equipment, attaching the paddler to the board. This means each paddler is attached to their own SUP, which is a large flotation device. Every person will be given a personal flotation device (PFD) as well. Per Michigan law, a PFD must be on every board. Anyone under 12 must wear their PFD. Due to safety regulations, we can only accommodate ages 6 and over, and over 50 lb.

Our Terms and Conditions explain important details and should be read before booking a tour/class/event.

Our Privacy Policy is important to us and your safety and privacy are our top concerns.

Ages six and older are welcome. You know your own child and how proficient they are in the water. Parents/guardians are responsible for their children and must sign waivers for their children. Everyone 12 years old or younger must wear a PFD. Anyone under 18 must have parental/guardian approval.

Our boards, leashes, and paddles are all from a small Midwest company, Paddle North, who take pride in their construction and equipment and offer high quality, lightweight boards. We have three sizes of boards to accommodate most paddlers (our largest board has a weight limit up to 400 lb).

We provide instruction, PFDs, and photographs. Flip flops or water shoes are recommended for getting to the launch site, but being barefoot on the board is recommended (water shoes are okay). Wear comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting wet; swimsuits or athletic clothing are ideal.
